Expansion Series: Part Three — Share Your Gifts

For part two of the expansion series, we discussed how important creativity will be going into the new year. And for the third installment in the series, I’m going to address something I’ve found to be a common blockage that restricts people from walking in their creativity. As the beautiful queen Erykah Badu so eloquently stated... "I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my shit." The realness of that line extends past traditional artists and to all of us as creative beings. It can be intimidating for ANYONE to expose their gifts or ideas to the world. The fear of judgment, rejection or even indifference can be paralyzing. A lot of times we block our own blessings by allowing fear to stop us from doing or even recognizing what we love or what we are good at. But turning your thoughts into real things is the definition of creation.. the definition of manifesting. The ideas that flow to you and activate a strong sense of joy are glimpses into your life purpose. Your unique gifts are the tools for you to bring those ideas to fruition and your best life exists where you use your unique gifts to put your ideas out into the world. How can you get over this blockage to fully realize and utilize your gifts to make the upcoming year your best year? Here are 2 things to keep in mind: 1. Once you conceive an idea in your head, its real. It exists. The universe contains an unseen element of existence that we tend to perceive in our physical world through dreams, "random" thoughts, feelings, etc. For example, when you walk into a room after people were just talking about you and the energy just feels heavy. You can't see the energy and someone outside of that moment wouldn't be able to experience it but that doesn't make it any less real. The same is true for your ideas. Once you have the picture in your mind it is a part of your reality in the unseen plane and it's your responsibility to bring it to life in the physical. 2. Your gifts are tailor made for your ideas.

The things you love and the things you are good at are directly related to your purpose on earth. Every. One. Has. Gifts. And your gifts are the reason why particular ideas come (or are given) to you. Your gifts are not for your personal enjoyment but for you to contribute to the greater good. Not only is it your duty to use your gifts, but living and walking in your purpose will give you a sense of joy and fulfillment that is unmatched.

So while you're in the process of developing or enhancing your creativity, trust that your ideas are valid and you are the best person to bring them to life. When you are properly aligned, the ideas you have are actually reflecting needs of the collective. So treat your gifts and ideas as the much needed resources that they are and maximize your own personal growth by sharing them with the world.
